An artist asked me to create a custom switchbox and wire it in-line for his series of pendant lights.
Testing the assembly
Requirements
Standard hardware – nothing custom
Minimize cost for 20 units; get bulk pricing from cheapest vendor per component
Switch should be for a guitar foot pedal; he liked the “click”
Minimize size of aluminum enclosure for switchbox
Wire sockets in parallel
Protect cord from any sharp edges
Part finishes should be white or satin nickel whenever possible; unfinished brass is acceptable
